The first two and a half minutes (including the famous backwards title sequence) of Robert Aldrich’s KISS ME DEADLY.

Great.

Quadrophenia (1979)
Review: There’s some The Who music playing in it, some mopeds, and Sting shows up and does some stuff, and the last 30 minutes are good to watch, and that broad with the bangs isn’t the worst thing to look at in intervals, and you can stick the only black guy in this in any time period 1960 and up with the same clothes and everything and he’d fit in.

The Match Factory Girl (1990)
Review: A girl who works in a match factory gets the short end of the stick in life and quietly flips the fuck out which makes her go on one of the most silently and non messy serial killing sprees I ever witnessed in a movie, but its little bit funny.

Young Adult (2011) Red Band TV Spot

Do you remember back in 2007 there was a movie called Juno that was nominated for four oscars and won one for the screenplay?

I remember it. I saw it one time but I remember it. This was the only movie I ever watched that made one of my eyes involuntarily twitch after the first 30 minutes.

It was the way people talked in it that got to me. Usually I can watch something and I can kinda tell when it’s being satirical. Even if it’s well acted out I can still kinda see it, but Juno wasn’t satire, it was real life.

It was possible that people were acting and talking like this somewhere in the real world. I couldn’t believe or accept that. Then I saw Juno making top ten lists from critics everywhere and then it won an oscar for it’s words. My involuntary eye twitch use to start back up every time I read something positive about it.

I eventually just accepted it and thought maybe this was Boyz in the Hood for white people, like you have to actually experience a piece of whats happening to really get it’s meaning.

Years later, now we have Young Adult directed by Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody the same people who made Juno. They teamed up again for the first time since Juno to make this and for some reason I’m kinda obsessed with it.

Maybe because it’s about a terrible person who’s chill with being a terrible person or maybe because it has Charlize Theron in it, which probably means nothing to you, but means a lot to me, as I’m a 23 year old male, either way I will be watching this repeatedly in the future.

It comes out December 16th EVERYWHERE.

I went to an 11:55pm showing of Drive last night and it was soooo BOSS.
I wish it was longer and there was more driving but it was still so good.
They should treat this like Clint Eastwood’s “Man with no name” character in The Dollars Trilogy and have Ryan Gosling character show up in at least two more movies but they have to be shot the exact same way as Drive.
The soundtrack to it was even good.

From the hot pink letters, to the soundtrack, and the over the top violence, it all just came together.
The movie was also quiet and not dialog heavy. I loved it. Go see it.
